Busy is when you are darting from one task to the next and not really getting anywhere fast.

Every small business needs a Customer Relationship Manager system (CRM)
Gone are the days when everything is jotted in a notebook, from prospects to leads to new clients. Okay, so it’s not so bad when you first start out and only have a few names. As your business starts to grow, some leads may go cold or duplications start to happen.
Your CRM doesn’t need to be complicated. It just needs to work for your needs. Most CRM systems offer free trials or are completely free if you are only using the bare minimum of their availability.
As you grow, you can then start to utilise them more to your needs. You can measure leads and set triggers to contact leads and keep yourself fresh in their minds.
CRM systems can integrate with other systems too. Imagine having everything all in one place? Imagine how productive you would be then!
Cloud-based CRMs are easily retrievable from anywhere you need them to be. Such as your desktop, phone, tablet. You are not then just tied to one place. Shout FREEDOM 🙂
Working smarter by streamlining your processes – but what does this actually mean? I hear you!
What we really want to happen is, having one system talk to another. This would be in the way of tracking communications or leads. Such as Task A leading to Task B which then leads on to Task C.
For instance, if you use Email Marketing software you can tag specific contacts depending on the link they clicked on your website or social media account (if you’re yet to get your website up and running). This gives you an idea of their interaction with your website etc.
Your project management system could allocate a specific contact to a specific assignee based on what they clicked on and are interested in.
A lot of replies, newsletters, campaigns can all be automated when integrated with your existing software to make life a hell of a lot easier for you. It can even be happening and continuing in the background whilst you get on with other things.
We don’t take the personal touch away though. We only automate the bits that can be automated, we still want to be replying to emails personally and also answering any comments on our social media posts.
By continuing with your little notebooks or excel spreadsheets the ‘ball’ often gets dropped with no reminders or follow-ups automatically scheduled, we can very quickly become overwhelmed, not to mention missing out on that deal.

With having cloud-based systems you can log in wherever you are, if needed, via your laptop, tablet or even your mobile phone. What’s not to love about that?
