Studying to increase my qualifications. I’ve been qualified in Bookkeeping and Payroll Management since 2009.
Level 2 in Bookkeeping and Level 3 in Payroll Management.
As a VA (Virtual Assistant) I could carry out a certain level of bookkeeping without having to register for AML (Anit-money Laundering). I was getting more and more requests for the service.
As the pandemic hit, I went back to studying with The Training Link so I could gain my Practice Licence via the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) and offer an even better service to more of my clients and prospects.
I left it too long!
It wasn’t just a case of applying for my Practice Licence anymore. I did have one back in 2009. But as I was still employed, I didn’t feel it was needed so I let my membership lapse.
So as it has been longer than 2 years, I had to resit my Level 2 (breezed through it). Before moving on to Level 3. I could then obtain my Practice Licence and be covered for AML.
I PASSED!
February 2022 I finally got my mojo back and sat the final exam. And I am over the moon that I passed. My application for my Practice Licence is being processed and I’ll be good to go.
In the meantime, I’ve moved on to Level 4 (got the bug back) where I am studying for SATR (Self Assessment Tax Returns). Therefore offering a one-stop shop for Sole Traders.
Level 3
This level entitles me to help business owners (sole traders, partnerships and Ltd), to get more organised in their compliance with HMRC.
